Redmond Rare Coins was started back in 1995 when Ralph Solomon started selling numismatic coins out of his home in Redmond Washington. Later and fellow coin collector, Chet Smith would opened Redmond Rare Coins in Kirkland Washington in 1999. Yes, Redmond Rare Coins is actually in Kirkland, the city over.
With several decades of experience in the numismatic world, Redmond Rare Coins became a Mecca for coins collectors and gold & silver stackers.
Throughout the years they made several friends/clients. Helped build amazing collections and educated customers on the ways of stacking silver and gold as saving and as a hedge against inflation
As they both got older their health would decline. First to cash in his gold ticket was Ralph followed by Chet in 2017. Already having someone in place to take over, Rick Holbrook stepped in to take over the shop. Rick had his own coin shop in Bellevue for 30 years but the coin world wasn't done with him.
Now Rick has taken the bullion-side of things to the next level while he mentors the next generation that will hopefully take over when Rick wants to retire. The shop, still catering to those who want to stack silver & gold with numismatic coins littering the glass display cases.
